About Cambodia Charity Watch

Cambodia Charity Watch is an independent initiative dedicated to promoting transparency and accountability within the non-profit sector in Cambodia.

Our mission is to protect donors, volunteers, and most importantly, the vulnerable communities these organizations claim to serve. We aggregate data, conduct field checks, and verify legal status to separate legitimate NGOs from those that exploit poverty or engage in "orphanage tourism."

Why We Do This

Combatting Fraud

Unfortunately, some organizations exist solely to profit from the good intentions of donors. We highlight these scams.

Supporting Good Actors

Hundreds of legitimate NGOs are doing incredible work. We want to direct resources to them.

Child Protection

We strongly advocate against institutional care when community-based alternatives exist, and warn against organizations that allow unvetted tourist access to children.
